Maritime Theater Sells Out 'The Last Jedi' Premiere

The theater is only one of 10 in the country that is showing the movie in 70mm IMAX film projection.

NORWALK, CT — The Maritime Theater has already sold out of its premiere showings for "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" on Thursday, but moviegoers will have plenty more chances to see it in the coming weeks. The theater is suspending its daily lineup of IMAX documentaries to show "The Last Jedi" from Dec. 15 to Jan. 15.

Show times will be at 1, 4, 7 and 10 p.m. The theater is only one of 10 in the country that is showing the movie in 70mm film on its six-story screen. The next closest is Philadelphia.

"The Last Jedi" scored an 88 on review aggregate site MetaCritic which indicates universal acclaim. It also scored a 93 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
