Master Site Plan for Norwalk Shopping Center Gets OK
At issue still is the length of the overpass above North Water Street.

The conceptual master site plan for The SoNo Collection was given the OK Tuesday by the Norwalk Common Council.
The caveat, according to an article in the Norwalk Hour, is that the overpass above North Water Street be reduced in length, though there is still room for negotiations on the matter.
The council approved the Land Disposition Agreement for the site as well.

The SoNo Collection, as proposed, will be a 700,000-square-foot retail center built by General Growth Properties. Anchor stores will be Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s, and there will be 80 to 100 smaller retailers in the complex.
The company expressed displeasure with the overpass modification, the Hour said, saying that they’ve met 24 of the 25 conditions the council wanted.
