UPDATE: Missing Bradenton, FL Mom, 10-Year-Old Daughter Found in Connecticut: Police

A Missing Child Alert was issued for the 10-year-old girl late Tuesday night.

Updated at 10:37 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2016: The search for a 10-year-old Bradenton girl and her mother that kicked off Tuesday night has ended on a positive note in Enfield, CT.

According to the Bradenton Police Department, Emma Mischaud and her mother, Suzanne Knight, were located at Knight’s Connecticut home.

“Mrs. Knight has told law enforcement that she had no idea that anyone was looking for her since her phone was turned off,” Lt. James Racky wrote on Thursday morning. “Both Mrs. Knight and Ms. Mischaud are in good health. There are no current charges pending for Mrs. Knight.”

The search for the two began Tuesday when it was reported that Knight got into an argument with family members and took off from a Bradenton apartment complex with the child in the car, an earlier email from the police department said.

Original story: BRADENTON, FL — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has issued a missing child alert for a 10-year-old girl from Bradenton.

According to FDLE, Emma Mischaud is 4 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs an estimated 60 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen in the area of 4000 47th Street West. Emma was wearing a blue sundress and blue reading glasses.

“The child may be in the company of Suzanne Knight, a white female, 46 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 130 pounds, blonde hair, and blue eyes, wearing a blue T-shirt and gray sweat pants,” the FDLE alert said.

Police say it is possible Knight is trying to return to Connecticut.

The two may be traveling in a 2016 red Toyota RAV4 with a Connecticut license plate, AD23238.

According to the Bradenton Police Department, the search for Emma kicked off late Tuesday night after family reported that Knight, her mother, had an argument with family members and took off with the child in the car, an email from the department said. When Knight was leaving 4550 47th St. W., she "drove away in her vehicle at a high rate of speed, almost striking another family member," the email said.

Anyone who has seen the child or the vehicle is asked to call the Bradenton Police Department at 941-932-9301 or 911.
