A Naugatuck man accused of kissing a 10-year-old boy in a video on social media was recently arrested, according to police.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A Naugatuck man accused of kissing a 10-year-old boy in a video on social media was arrested early Saturday evening, according to police.
In a news release, police said they received a report from a parent of a video posted to social media that showed William Gordon, 44, of Naugatuck, kissing the child.
After finding the video, officers quickly located Gordon, who admitted to kissing the child as part of a social media trend, according to police.

Gordon was arrested on charges of cruelty to persons and risk of injury to a juvenile and impairing morals. His cell phone was also seized and logged as evidence, according to police.
His bond was set at $500,000 and he was arraigned in court on Monday.

The Department of Children and Families was notified of the incident and is involved in services with the child, who police noted is not under Gordon's direct care.
