NCHC's Dental Suite Opens; New reasons to Smile
Norwalk Community Health Center Dental Suite provides pediatric and adult dentistry, dental hygiene regardless of ability to pay
Norwalk Community Health Center, Inc. (NCHC) is accepting new patients for its new state of the art Dental Suite.
After celebrating the opening of its pediatric and adult Dental Suite with patients, staff, friends and supporters, members of the business community, and Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy, Congressman Jim Himes, State Senator Bob Duff, and Mayor Harry Rilling, NCHC’s dental team welcomed its first patient on April 27. NCHC is an independent, nonprofit healthcare provider based in Norwalk, CT but open to anyone who needs us in Fairfield County, regardless of ability to pay.
Adding general dentistry and dental hygiene, the new dental care team joins NCHC’s established patient-centered medical home of adult, pediatric, women’s and behavioral health clinicians at 120 Connecticut Avenue, Norwalk, CT. 550 men, women and children are expected to receive care from NCHC’s dental care team in its first year.
“Oral health is part of overall health. Adding dental care lets NCHC better provide continuity of health and wellness care for our patients,” said NCHC Chief Executive Officer Craig Glover. Because of the link between oral health and good overall health, dentists recommend dental checkups begin by a child's first birthday.
