New Fresh Juice Bar Opens In South Norwalk Amid Major Snowstorm

A new fresh juice bar opened over the weekend in the SoNo area of Norwalk despite a major snowstorm that impacted the area.

NORWALK, CT — A new juice bar opened its doors in South Norwalk last week, undeterred by heavy winter weather, offering fresh juices made from organic ingredients and more to customers in the city's downtown area.

Located at 127 Washington Street, Vitality Fresh Juice marks the first brick-and-mortar location for owners Dean Rahman and Laly Leiva.

The 750-square-foot space officially opened just ahead of a major snowstorm that impacted the entire state, including Norwalk, Sunday into Monday.

According to Leiva, the store's first days of operation have already been incredibly encouraging despite the weekend storm and the piles of snow it left behind.

"The community support has honestly meant everything to us," Leiva said in an email to Patch. "While the snowstorm did cause a bit of a soft opening rather than a full-scale launch, it actually gave us time to connect more personally with early customers and ease into operations."

The interior of Vitality features a chalkboard-black backdrop that highlights the vivid colors of fresh produce, from citrus and leafy greens to ginger root and red beets, according to additional press materials provided by Vitality.

A large, refrigerated display case features organic fruits and vegetables, alongside curated healthy snacks, energy foods and convenient grab-and-go beverages.

All juices at Vitality are made fresh on-site using 100 percent organic ingredients, according to press materials.

Leiva said the owners were drawn to the SoNo area of the city due to its strong sense of community and energy.

"It's where people live, work out, commute and spend time socially," Leiva said. "There seems to be a real appreciation here for small businesses and for healthier, lifestyle-driven options; it's vibrant, diverse and constantly evolving, which aligns perfectly with our mission of supporting everyday wellness in a way that feels accessible and welcoming."

According to Leiva, Vitality looks to stand out among other business in SoNo by being more than just a juice bar.

"Everything we offer is intentionally crafted, from fresh-pressed juices and protein smoothies to functional add ins and premium wellness products," Leiva said. "We focus on clean ingredients, balance and options that support real, everyday lifestyles. Whether someone is deeply into fitness or simply making better daily choices, we want everyone to feel comfortable walking in and finding something that works for them."

Signature offerings at Vitality include the "Living Beet" made with beets, red apple, ginger and pineapple, "Flush" made with cucumber, celery, lemon and ginger and the "SoNo Blend" featuring orange, pineapple, strawberry, raspberry and cayenne.

The store also offers protein-forward blends such as "E.Y.E.," which stands for "elevate your energy," made with banana, peanut butter, almond milk, honey and vanilla protein. Wellness shots range from classic wheatgrass to the "remedy shot" comprised of ginger, lemon and cayenne, according to press materials.

"The SoNo Blend and our green juices have been early favorites, along with protein smoothies, especially post-workout," Leiva said. "Customers are also loving our build-your-own cups, which let them customize their drinks to fit exactly what they need."

Vitality Fresh Juice is currently open Monday–Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., according to the store's website.
