No Charges in Fatal Driveway Accident: Norwalk Police
Peter Tinnen-Strmiska, 5, was struck and killed in a driveway May 12 on Woodacre Road.

NORWALK, CT - The driver of the vehicle that struck and killed five-year-old Peter Tinnen-Strmiska last week will not face charges, according to Norwalk police.
"The investigation has been completed and no charges will be filed," wrote Lt. Terrence Blake an email to Patch Tuesday afternoon.
The identity of the driver has not been released, but The Hour reports he is a 75-year-old male relative.

Tinnen-Strmiska, a kindergarten student at Silvermine Elementary School, died of an accidental blunt impact injury to his head and neck, according to the state medical examiner's office. He was in the driveway of the home at 7 Woodacre Road a little after 5 p.m. on the 12th when he was struck by the car, which was pulling into the driveway.
A GoFundMe page in Peter's honor has raised more than $47,000. His mother, who had fallen on hard times, had set it up prior to his accidental death and then changed it to assist with his funeral services.

Peter John Tinnen-Strmiska, age 5, transitioned to heaven on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Norwalk Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was the son of Kayla Tinnen of Norwalk, CT and Peter Strmiska of Danbury, CT. He was a kindergarten student at Silvermine Elementary School. In addition to his mother and father Kayla Tinnen and Peter Strmiska his memory will be treasured by his siblings, Charles Tinnen and China Tinnen, his maternal grandparents; Clyde and Laura Tinnen, two uncles, one aunt, three first cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Downer Funeral Home, 31 Stillwater Ave. Stamford, CT followed by a service of celebration on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM at New Beginnings Community Church, 65 Tokeneke Rd. Darien, CT with Pastor Robert Cassara officiating and Rev. Dr. Jeffrey A. Ingraham, Eulogist. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk, CT.
