NORWALK, CT — Signs honoring Norwalk's longest-serving mayor will be put up outside City Hall following the Common Council's approval Tuesday, the Norwalk Hour reported. Officials said blue signs reading “Honorable Frank J. Esposito Way” will soon be placed under the "City Hall Dr." signs currently in place.

According to the Hour, one sign will be placed at Sunset Hill Avenue and the other will be placed at Eversley Avenue. City officials said they hope to plan a small ceremony with Esposito's wife before officially unveiling the signs.

Esposito, who died in January 2013, served seven consecutive terms as mayor before leaving office in 2001, according to the Hour.
