Norwalk Art Space To Host New Free Summer Art, Music Classes

NORWALK, CT — The Norwalk Art Space will host new free summer art and music classes for students 12-18 years old in July and August.

According to a news release provided by the art space, kids can enjoy classes ranging from Out of the Box Collage, Make Your Own Manga, Illustrating Pop Art, Surface and Stitch, String Ensemble, Children's Choir and more.

The summer session also includes the art space's Feeding Creativity Meal Program with new support from The Westport Farmer's Market and The Art Space Cafe, according to the release.

"In celebration of our fifth anniversary this June, we are offering students in the area the most comprehensive and robust summer session ever, with over 11 art sessions and, for the first time ever, three music classes," Executive Director Duvian Montoya said in a news release. "Plus, we're continuing our Feeding Creativity Free Meal program in partnership with The Art Space Cafe and The Westport Farmers Market on five Thursdays in July and August at 12 p.m. This free meal program is available to all students who are enrolled in one or more of our summer classes."

Registration is now open, according to the release.

The art space is located at 455 West Avenue in Norwalk.

Parking is available in Matthews Park or on the corner of West Avenue and Matthews Park Drive, according to the art space.
