Norwalk Barber Shop Owner Ran Drug Factory: PD

NORWALK, CT — A barber shop owner was arrested and charged with operating a drug factory out of his business, according to police.

Police began investigating after a reported overnight commercial burglary Friday at the Cedar Street shop, according to the Hour. The door was ajar and police entered looking for suspects. Instead they found a back room with drug paraphernalia, according to police.

Police exited and obtained a separate search warrant for the property.

Joel Figueroa, 32, owner of Joel's Barber Lounge was arrested. He claimed the drugs were for personal use.
