
NORWALK, CT — The Board of Education approved a new teacher union contract agreement that is set to save the city $2 million in insurance costs.
Teachers will transfer to the CT 2.0 Healthcare Plan, according to the Hour. The school district will have a $100,000 budget deficit after it can take into its $3.9 million insurance fund balance.
The teacher contract will be extended one year and comes with a 2.65 percent salary increase.
