Norwalk Boys Soccer Rallies To Tie Staples

Bears score twice in second half to earn 2-2 tie with the defending three-time FCIAC champion Wreckers

Nacho Navarro and Nic Zuniga scored in the second half Friday as the Norwalk boys soccer rallied from a two-goal deficit to earn a 2-2 tie against defending three-time FCIAC champion Staples in Westport.

Dylan Hoy scored in each half to give to the Wreckers, who outscored their first five opponents this season by a combined margin of 15-1,  a 2-0 lead.

Staples goalie James Hickok made seven saves while Svet Kozak stopped two shots for Norwalk.

The Bears improved to 4-1-1 and the tie left Staples with a 5-0-1 record, ending the Wreckers' five-game winning streak to start the season
