Norwalk Businessman Pleads Guilty To Tax Evasion
The man runs a sports gaming information website.

NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk man pleaded guilty to tax evasion in federal court that was related to a sports gaming information website.
Ryan Rozycki, 41, owns and operates bangthebook.com as well as other businesses and rental properties, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut. Rozycki reported more than $1.6 million in gross receipts on his federal income tax returns between 2009 and 2014 tax years, but failed to report more than $1.1 million in taxable income.
He worked with an accountant to prepare his tax returns, but didn't share information regarding the $1.1 million. He failed to pay $371,161 in owed taxes.

He faces up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $742,000 in back taxes, interest and penalties.
