Norwalk To Collect Mattresses, Box Springs For Recycling
The city will be collecting mattresses and box springs for recycling during an event Saturday.

NORWALK, CT — The city will be accepting mattresses and box springs Saturday as part of a free collection program.
According to a news release provided by the city, these items are being collected for recycling through the Mattress Recycling Council's Connecticut Bye Bye Mattress Program.
Mattress collection will take place at the Norwalk Public Works Center, located at 15 South Smith Street, in the parking area next to the gas pumps. The event will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In addition to Saturday, collection will also take place Sept. 24.
This special collection event is open to Norwalk residents only, and mattresses and box springs must be dry and intact.
