Norwalk Drug Factory Busted: PD

NORWALK, CT — Police arrested a Norwalk man after they seized more than a pound of marijuana, dozens of Xanax pills and cocaine, according to police.

Stamford Police were investigating narcotic sales and were led to Matthew Ortero, 28, of Norwalk. Stamford and Norwalk Police conducted a search and seizure warrant at Ortero's West Rocks Road residence Dec. 20.

Inside they seized 1.165 pounds of marijuana, 2.6 ounces of marijuana wax, nearly 30 grams of cocaine, 148 Xanax pills and nearly $6,700 in cash.

Ortero was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession with intent to sell narcotics, possession with intent to sell marijuana, failure to keep narcotics in original container and operating a drug factory.
