Norwalk Falls To Wilton 49-47 in FCIAC Girls Basketball Playoffs
The Bears will take a 15-6 record into the Class LL state tournament

The Norwalk girls basketball team suffered a 49-47 loss to Wilton in the quarterfinals of the FCIAC playoffs Saturday afternoon at the Zeoli Field House.
The Bears, who also lost to the Warriors 48-40 during the regular season, will take a 15-6 record into the Class LL state tournament.
Wilton, which improved to 15-5, will face top seed Danbury, a 63-40 winner of No. 8 seed Darien, in the second game of a semifinal doubleheader at Fairfield Ludlowe on Tuesday (7:30 p.m.)

Casey Pearsall scored 24 points Saturday for the fourth-seeded Warriors, who are making their first appearance in the FCIAC playoffs since 2003.
Three players combined for all but one of Wilton's points as Maddie Fulton scored 16 and Haley English added eight.

The Warriors led 39-35 after the third quarter before Norwalk grabbed its last lead at 45-44 led with under two minutes remaining.
Erica Cohens and Emma Oyomba each scored 14 points to lead the Bears, who trailed 25-23 at the half in a game that was close throughout.
Pearsall's basket with under two minutes remaining put Wilton ahead to stay at 46-45.
