Norwalk Father and Son Arrested After Assaulting Mom's Boyfriend: PD

The fight happened at B.J. Ryan's.

A Norwalk father and his son are facing assault charges after they allegedly attacked the son’s mother’s boyfriend.

Thomas Stumpf, 45, of Cobblers Lane and Troy Stumpf, 18, no address given were charged after a fight at B.J. Ryan’s Nov. 30.

A woman was celebrating a friend’s birthday when her soon to be ex-husband and her teenage son walked in, according to the Norwalk Hour.

Thomas Stumpf allegedly made a comment to the woman’s boyfriend and punched him in the face as he was turning around. A fight ensued and the victim and a person sitting next to him were injured. Thomas accused the boyfriend of fondling his son when he was a juvenile, but no complaint was ever filed.

Both Stumpfs were charged with third-degree assault, criminal mischief, second-degree breach of peace and risk of injury to a minor.
