Norwalk Fire Displaces Family

NORWALK, CT — A home on Nash Place was severely damaged by flames Sunday.

Firefighters responded and found heavy fire conditions from the front door and rear windows on the first floor. The fire had started in the kitchen area and spread, said Deputy Chief Stephen Shay.

The first floor was gutted by flames and the second floor was damaged by heat and smoke. The fire was under control within 30 minutes.

A family of three was displaced and the Red Cross provided shelter for the night. There were no injuries.
