Norwalk Firefighters Battle 2 Suspicious Fires Monday
The two East Norwalk fires were an hour apart.
NORWALK, CT — Norwalk firefighters extinguished two separate fires Monday night on Calf Pasture Beach Road, and both blazes are under investigation by fire marshals and Norwalk police detectives.
According to Norwalk Deputy Fire Chief Albert Bassett, no injuries were reported in either fire, the first of which was called in at about 8:30 p.m. That fire damaged a storage shed that housed equipment and furniture for the adjacent skate park.
The second fire, reported at about 9:30 p.m., damaged a 33-foot boat that was shrink wrapped and being stored for the winter.
