Norwalk Council Candidate Pelted with Eggs: Report

Norwalk Common Council candidate John Metsopoulos was reportedly pelted with eggs and told he would lose the election.

The incident happened August 8 while he was out on East Avenue, according to the Norwalk Hour. A vehicle approached him and someone threw eggs and yelled “You’re going to lose!”

At first he wasn’t going to report the incident, but did so after friends encouraged him. He was recommended for a council seat by Democrats, according to the Hour.

Metsopoulos is a former Fairfield first selectman and state representative.
