Norwalk Hires New Human Services Director

"She offers a wealth of knowledge and experience in human services and nonprofit operations."

NORWALK, CT — Keenan McMahon has been hired as Norwalk's new Human Services Director in the Community Services Department, Mayor Barbara Smyth announced on Facebook.

In her new role, McMahon will "provide overall leader for the division, support program operations, strengthen coordination across teams, and help ensure services continue to be effective and aligned with City priorities."

Norwalk's Human Services Department works in partnership with community organizations and providers to connect people "with assistance, resources and support by making a positive difference in the lives of the residents we serve," the department's webpage reads.

Smyth said she's excited to welcome McMahon to the post.

"She offers a wealth of knowledge and experience in human services and nonprofit operations," Smyth said in a statement. "In addition to that, she is a former educator and attorney bringing that insight to this role."
