Norwalk To Hold Can, Bottle Return Pop-Up Recycling Event
The program will allow residents to recycle their collected cans and bottles and receive cash.

NORWALK, CT — The city will host a can and bottle return pop-up recycling event late Monday afternoon in the parking lot of 98 South Main Street.
According to the city's Facebook page, the program will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., allowing residents to recycle their collected cans and bottles to receive cash.

Here is how Norwalk’s Can and Bottle Return event works, according to the city's Facebook page:
- Each redeemable bottle or can is worth 5 cents and a user instantly receives cash after recycling it.
- It's a free service as there are no fees.
- The city accepts plastic bottles, glass bottles and aluminum cans.
- There is no limit on the number of containers brought in.
City officials ask that participants pack glass bottles in a box when possible.

Residents are also asked to enter from the South Main Street entrance to help with traffic flow through the parking lot.
