Norwalk To Hold Can, Bottle Return Pop-Up Recycling Event

NORWALK, CT — The city of Norwalk's next can and bottle return pop-up recycling event will be held Monday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

According to the city's Facebook page, this event allows residents to recycle their collected cans and bottles to receive cash.

The pop-up recycling events will be held in the parking lot of 98 South Main Street.

Here is how Norwalk's can and bottle return event works, according to the city:

• Each redeemable bottle or can is worth 10 cents, and a user instantly receives cash after recycling it.
• The city accepts plastic bottles, glass bottles and aluminum cans.
• There is no limit on the number of containers brought in.
• Please pack glass bottles in a box when possible.

The city also asks that residents enter from the South Main Street entrance to help with traffic flow through the parking lot.
