Norwalk To Hold Can, Bottle Return Pop-Up Recycling Events

NORWALK, CT — The city of Norwalk will host three can and bottle return pop-up recycling events for residents.

According to the city's Facebook page, this program allows residents to recycle their collected cans and bottles and receive cash.

These pop-up recycling events are scheduled to take place in the parking lot of 98 South Main Street in Norwalk:

• Feb. 12 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
• March 18 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
• April 15 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Each redeemable bottle or can is worth 5 cents and a user instantly receives cash after recycling it. It’s a free service as there are no fees.

The city will accept plastic bottles, glass bottles and aluminum cans, and there is no limit on the number of containers brought in. Participants are asked to pack glass bottles in a box when possible.

Residents should enter from South Main Street to help with traffic flow through the parking lot.
