Norwalk To Hold Citywide Earth Day Cleanup, Celebration
The city will host Keep Norwalk Beautiful's Clean City Initiative Earth Day cleanup and an Earth Day on The Green celebration this weekend.
NORWALK, CT — On Saturday, the city will host Keep Norwalk Beautiful's Clean City Initiative Earth Day cleanup.
According to the city's Facebook page, residents are invited to join Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas and Mayor Harry Rilling for the citywide cleanup event from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by the second annual Earth Day on The Green celebration.
Additionally, the Norwalk Tree Alliance has offered to provide and plant a free tree to volunteers who engage in this year's Earth Day cleanup. Anyone interested in a tree donation is asked to reach out to David Shockley at dshockley@norwalk.org to register for the event and provide their name, address and email.

Volunteers must request and pick up cleanup equipment Wednesday from Keep Norwalk Beautiful at City Hall between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. and can return the equipment at the Earth Day on the Green event.
