Norwalk To Hold Household Hazardous Waste Day
The city will host a Household Hazardous Waste Day this summer, open to residents only.

NORWALK, CT — The City of Norwalk’s Household Hazardous Waste Day is being held Saturday, August 25, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Norwalk High School. The event will be held rain or shine.
According to a news release, participants are asked to please have their driver’s license or vehicle registration readily available. The event is residents only; no commercial or business loads will be accepted.

Gasoline, Kerosene, auto care products, oil-based or alkyd paints, stains, thinners, spray paints, insect killer, weed killer, fungicides (rose dust), chemical fertilizer, garden lime, cleaners, polishes, mercury thermometers, pet care products, pool chemicals
ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED

- Latex Paint: Please dry completely and throw in trash
- Motor Oil and Antifreeze: Norwalk Residents ONLY – Bring to the Norwalk Transfer Station
- Electronics: Norwalk Residents ONLY – Bring to the Norwalk Transfer Station
- Cooking Oil: Norwalk Residents ONLY – Bring to the Norwalk Transfer Station
- Ammunition, Flares or Explosives: Call Norwalk Police Dept (203-854-3000)
- Asbestos: Contact the Connecticut State Health Dept. or CT DEEP
- CFL Bulbs: Please dispose unbroken bulbs at Home Depot or Lowes
- Medical or Biological Waste
- Radioactive Material
