Norwalk To Host Autism Awareness, Acceptance Event
The city will once again host its Autism Awareness & Acceptance event on the Norwalk Green this month.

NORWALK, CT — The city will once again host its annual Autism Awareness & Acceptance event at the gazebo on the Norwalk Green this month.
In a news release, Deputy Corporation Counsel Jeffry Spahr said the event will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Spahr also noted he was working with members of Norwalk Public Schools' transition team to put together the program.

The theme adopted by the United Nations for this year's annual recognition events is "Inclusion in the Workplace: Challenges and Opportunities in a Post-Pandemic World" with a focus on providing "equitable quality education" and "promoting lifelong learning opportunities," Spahr said.
Organizations such as Ability Beyond and STAR (Lighting the Way), members of the city's police and fire departments and local volunteers and representatives will also take part in the event, Spahr said.
