Norwalk To Host First-Ever Halloween Nightfair Event
The city will host a Halloween Nightfair event on Washington Street, featuring games, pumpkin painting and other unique entertainment.
NORWALK, CT — The city will host its first-ever Halloween Nightfair event next weekend on Washington Street.
According to a news release provided by the city, the event is set to take place Oct. 28 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
"The City of Norwalk is thrilled to host our first-ever Halloween Nightfair on Washington Street," Mayor Harry Rilling said in a news release. "This free, family-friendly event will give the community the opportunity to come together, enjoy fantastic entertainment and celebrate the spirit of Halloween in vibrant South Norwalk."

The city will transform Washington Street into a Halloween extravaganza, featuring Halloween-themed activities such as bounce houses, games, pumpkin painting and trick-or-treat bag decorating on Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, attendees will get to enjoy entertainment by a contortionist and a magician beginning at 6 p.m. They will also have the opportunity to explore vendors and food trucks offering unique Halloween-themed items.

Starting at 6:30 p.m., there will be exciting musical performances featuring the house music group Goodboys, followed by Laidback Luke, who will be hitting the DJ Booth at 8 p.m.
On Sunday beginning at noon, the city will kick off the day with a Howl-o-Ween Pet Parade. Attendees are welcome to join the fun by dressing their pets in their spookiest or cutest costumes and having them walk in the parade on Washington Street. Those interested in having their pet participate can sign up by visiting tinyurl.com/norwalkhowloween.
On Sunday at 2:30 p.m., attendees can enjoy a performance by musician Ryan Cabrera, followed by a costume contest at 3:30 p.m. The panel of judges, including Rilling, will award special prizes to the selected costume winners.

Finally, the city will offer the "Touch a Truck" experience on both days so families can explore the fascinating vehicles from the city's departments up close.
