Norwalk To Host First-Ever SoNo Holiday Extravaganza

The event will include Santa arriving from the rooftop of SoNo 50, a tree-lighting ceremony, horse-drawn carriage rides and more.

NORWALK, CT — The city will host Norwalk's first-ever SoNo Holiday Extravaganza event this weekend in South Norwalk.

In a news release, Mayor Harry Rilling invited members of the community to enjoy the event, which will be held Sunday on 50 Washington Street at North Main Street from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Sponsored by the Norwalk Parking Authority and Laz Parking, the fun-filled family event is free to attend.

The event will include Santa arriving from the rooftop of SoNo 50, a tree-lighting ceremony, a Roton Middle School Chorale performance and a Hanukkah celebration, as well as fun activities for children such as a merry-go-round, a petting zoo, horse-drawn carriage rides, games, a DJ and more.

  • 3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. – Fun and Games inside
  • 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Roton Middle School Chorale perform
  • 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Horse-drawn carriage rides, petting zoo and DJ
  • 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Fun and Games inside
  • 4: 30 p.m. - Santa arrives, and children will get to visit with him
  • 5 p.m. - Tree lighting
