Norwalk To Host Free Mattress, Box Spring Collection Event

NORWALK, CT — The city of Norwalk will be accepting mattresses and box springs for free during some upcoming collection events, according to a news release provided by the city.

The free collection program will recycle the mattresses and box springs through the Mattress Recycling Council's Connecticut Bye Bye Mattress Program.

The mattress collection will take place on the following Saturdays:

  • Saturday, April 30
  • Saturday, June 25
  • Saturday, September 24

The events will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The mattress collection will take place at the Norwalk Public Works Center located at 15 South Smith Street in Norwalk (in the parking area next to the gas pumps).

This special collection event is open to Norwalk residents only. Mattresses and box springs must be dry and intact.
