NORWALK, CT — The Norwalk Public Library invites families to celebrate Take Your Child to the Library Day by participating in an engaging and creative program.
According to a news release provided by the library, residents can show their love for the library Saturday or Sunday for a unique activity where children can create a quilt square that expresses their joy for books, programs or other things they love at the library.

The library's Children's Department will be open for drop-in sessions throughout the weekend, providing families with the flexibility to choose a time that suits them best, according to the library.
Children are encouraged to unleash their creativity and color their masterpiece on a quilt square. This hands-on activity not only fosters a love for reading but also allows young minds to express their individuality, according to the library.

The culmination of this heartwarming event will take place Feb. 14 when the paper quilt, adorned with the artistic expressions of young patrons, will be unveiled in the Children's Department, according to the library.
Guests are encouraged to drop in anytime during library hours. The main library is located at 1 Belden Avenue.
"We believe that fostering a love for reading from a young age is essential, and events like Take Your Child to the Library Day provide a fun and interactive way to instill this passion," Director of Children's Services Vicki Oatis said in a news release. "We encourage families to join us, explore the wonders of the library, and contribute to our unique paper quilt that will be a testament to the vibrant reading community we have in Norwalk."
