Norwalk Man Accused Of Selling Narcotics Out Of Rehabilitation Facility: Police

Officers seized heroin, crack and powder cocaine and other items during a search of the man's apartment, according to police.

NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk man accused of selling narcotics out of a rehabilitation facility was arrested Wednesday, according to police.

In a news release, Police Sgt. Ryan Evarts said the arrest was made after police received information about an unknown man selling narcotics out of a live-in, long-term rehabilitation facility for pregnant and parenting women.

After further investigation, police determined Brent Menskey, 37, of Norwalk, was selling narcotics out of the facility, Evarts said.

On Oct. 11, officers searched Menskey's apartment and seized narcotics, some of which were found in areas where young children could easily access them, according to Evarts.

During their search, officers seized 70 glassine envelopes containing heroin/fentanyl, 39.87 grams of crack cocaine, 42.51 grams of powder cocaine, 3 Dilaudid pills that were not in a prescription container and an electronic scale.

Menskey was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell narcotics, possession with intent to sell over one ounce of cocaine, use of drug paraphernalia and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.

His bond was set at $100,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court next month, according to Evarts.
