Norwalk Man Accused Of Stealing Lottery Tickets From Local Store
The suspect lives in an apartment just steps away from the convenience store, according to Norwalk police.

NORWALK, CT — A 21-year-old Norwalk man was arrested on a warrant by Norwalk police this week in connection with the theft of an undisclosed number of lottery tickets from a convenience store in his neighborhood, according to police.
David Place, of Cedar Street, surrendered to Norwalk police on Monday and was charged with a host of violations, including four counts of third-degree burglary, and one count of second-degree larceny, among others.
According to Norwalk police, Place is accused of stealing larceny tickets over a several month-long period from the Tropical Grocery on Cedar Street, which is steps away from Place's apartment.

He also is accused of stealing cash from the store's register in late July and groceries on other occasions.
"As a result of the investigation it was discovered that David Place, a regular customer at the store and a resident of an adjoining apartment, had been accessing the store on multiple occasions through a break in a basement wall," Norwalk police said in a statement.

Place was released on a promise to appear in court on Sept. 21.
