Norwalk Man Allegedly Tries to Have Ecstasy Mailed to Him, Gets Busted: Cops

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Norwalk Police and the U.S. Postal Service were involved in the arrest.

NORWALK, CT — A 26-year-old Norwalk man allegedly tried to have 750 grams of MDMA ecstasy mailed to him at his Fairfield Avenue address and was arrested on Aug. 17, 2017, according to police.

Josh Lucas, also known as Joshua Pucheta, was taken into custody immediately after he signed for and accepted the package, which was delivered under controlled circumstances by law enforcement.

In addition to Norwalk police, the Department of Homeland Security - U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the United States Postal Service were also involved in the investigation. Customs officials had discovered the package during routine processing and notified Norwalk police.

"Subsequent to the arrest, Norwalk Police Special Services investigators obtained and executed a search and seizure warrant for Lucas’s residence," wrote police in a statement. "Materials were seized from the home that were consistent with a drug factory setting."

  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia within 1,500 feet of a School
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Possession of a Drug Factory Setting

He was held in lieu of a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 29.
