Norwalk Man Arrested After Alleged Reckless Driving In Westport: Cops
He nearly caused several accidents, police say.

WESTPORT, CT — A 56-year-old Norwalk man was arrested early Tuesday after allegedly speeding through parts of Westport and nearly crashing into several vehicles on I-95, according to Westport police.
The incident began at about 1:30 a.m. when Westport Police Officer Thomas Casimiro was conducting radar enforcement on Sherwood Island Connector, and he saw a vehicle speeding southbound.
"The vehicle reached a speed of 96 mph," wrote police in a statement. "As the Officer pulled out to stop the suspect vehicle, the suspect turned off all the vehicle lights. The operator did not slow down for the stop sign before making a left hand turn onto the I-95 northbound ramp. While on the ramp, the operator cut off another vehicle nearly running it off of the road. As soon as the operator got onto I-95, he cut over 3 lanes of traffic and nearly crashed into several vehicles."
