Norwalk Man Charged in Bank Robbery: Wilton Police

BREAKING: Following a lengthy investigation into a bank robbery in Georgetown, police have made an arrest.

WILTON, CT — Wilton Police announced that a suspect accused of robbing a bank in Georgetown in February was arrested Friday.

Police say that Joseph Boccuzzi, 34, of Norwalk robbed the Fairfield County Bank on Danbury Road on Feb. 24 and fled in a green Honda Accord. Police say the suspect had recently bought the Accord on the website "letgo," and was identified by a suspect through search warrant executed on the "Letgo" accounts.

Police say Boccuzzi was interviewed and confessed to the bank robbery, as well as three others and another attempt at other banks in Fairfield County.

Boccuzzi was charged with robbery in the second degree and larceny in the first degree. He is being held on a $150,000 bond and his arraignment is set for April 17.
