Norwalk Man Charged with Raping Woman

The woman fell asleep and awoke to the man on top of her and thought it was her boyfriend, according to police. She then turned the light on

A Norwalk man was charged with raping a woman who said that she mistook him for her boyfriend at a party.

The 19-year-old woman told police she attended a party on Sedgewick Avenue in Stratford when she went upstairs to sleep, according to the Connecticut Post.

She texted her boyfriend who was at the party to wake her up later. She awoke to a man on top of her who she assumed was her boyfriend and after 15 minutes of sexual activity turned on the light to realize it was someone else.

Francis Spring, 24, of Norwalk was charged with first-degree sexual assault.
