Norwalk Man Charged With Selling Marijuana Following Stop: PD
Westport police said officers seized over 60 grams of marijuana after stopping a Norwalk man for driving with a broken tail light.

WESTPORT, CT — Westport police said officers seized over 60 grams of marijuana last week after stopping a Norwalk man for driving with a broken tail light. The incident occurred Friday, Dec. 29, on Compo Road South at approximately 4:45 p.m., police said.
Police said officers detected an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle after stopping the suspect, 27-year-old Williman Olivero of Norwalk. With the assistance of a Westport K-9 unit, officers located and seized multiple glassine bags of marijuana packaged for sale, a scale and “vape” cartridges containing THC oil, according to a release.
Police said officers learned the suspect had been selling the marijuana while working in Westport. In total, more than 67 grams of marijuana were seized, along with currency suspected to be from marijuana sales, police said.

Police said the suspect was arrested and charged with sale of controlled substance (marijuana), possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The suspect was released after posting bond and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, police said.
