NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk man was arrested in connection to a stabbing incident reported Friday night in the city, according to police.

In a news release, Police Lt. Tomasz Podgorski said officers were called to the area of Lowe Street around 10 p.m. following a 911 call in which the caller provided an address before hanging up the phone.

When officers arrived in the area, they found a man who had been stabbed in his left forearm, sternum and left leg, Podgorski said.

Police quickly provided emergency medical assistance by applying a tourniquet to the man's left arm and applying pressure on his other wounds to control the bleeding, Podgorski said. He was then taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment.

According to Podgorski, officers found Norman Allen, 22, of Norwalk, in the area and arrested him on charges of first-degree assault and second-degree criminal mischief.
