Norwalk Man Struck Several Mailboxes, Fled Scene: Westport PD
The man claimed he was dropped off, but he had the key to the crashed vehicle, police said.

WESTPORT, CT — A Norwalk man was arrested after he struck several mailboxes and attempted to flee the scene, police said.
Police were called to Big Pines Road June 23. A witness reported the male operator tried to pull his vehicle out after it became stuck in a large post, but was unable to do so. He then ran away on foot.
Police set up a perimeter and called in a K-9 unit to search for the suspect. Daniel Molina, 22, was found on Warnock Drive. He claimed that a friend dropped him off in the area and he was walking home.

Officers found the key to the crashed vehicle and Molina's license in the vehicle, according to police. He was charged with evading responsibility and failure to drive in the proper lane.
