Norwalk Market Fined $11K For Selling Tobacco To Minors: Report

The market is accused of selling tobacco to minors several times over the past few years, according to a report.

NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk market faces a civil penalty of $11,410 from the federal Food and Drug Administration for six violations of selling tobacco to minors within the past four years, the Norwalk Hour reports.

The Norwalk Hour reports the Caribbean Grocery, located at 161 West Cedar St., came to an agreement with federal authorities over previous violations and had 30 days to request a hearing on the latest penalty, which was issued in late May.
