After being cancelled two years in a row, Norwalk officials said the annual Memorial Day Parade will go forward this year, rain or shine.

NORWALK, CT — After being cancelled two years in a row, Norwalk officials said the annual Memorial Day Parade will go forward this year, rain or shine, the Norwalk Hour reported.
According to the Hour, Mayor Harry Rilling advised residents to bring a raincoat or an umbrella should it rain on Memorial Day, as the parade will still happen. Should the weather be truly terrible, the Norwalk Veterans Memorial Committee will host a ceremony at the Norwalk Concert Hall.
The parade is scheduled to step off at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 28. The parade route typically starts at Veterans Park and ends at the Town Green on East Avenue, according to the Norwalk Veterans Memorial Committee website.
