Norwalk Murder Arrest Made

The arrest stems from a cold-case investigation.

NORWALK, CT — Police have made an arrest in a cold-case murder that occurred in 2010.

Ibo Boone, 30, of Waterbury was arrested Tuesday and charged with the murder of Michael Robinson Jr., who was shot to death in the area of South Main and Grove streets on Oct. 29, 2010.

Boone was 23-years-old at the time of the shooting, which law enforcement officials said is gang-related.

Robinson's case was featured in the fourth edition of "Cold Case" playing cards.

“This arrest is an excellent example of what we can achieve through the collaboration of law enforcement agencies at all levels of government. I wish to thank the Norwalk detectives, the cold case unit and the State’s Attorney’s office for their work on the investigation,” said Richard J. Colangelo, Jr., State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of Stamford/Norwalk.
