Norwalk Nonprofit To Hold 13th Annual Golf Outing
The event will bring together supporters and sponsors for a day of golf in support of children facing food insecurity across the region.
NORWALK, CT — Norwalk-based nonprofit Filling in the Blanks will host its 13th Annual Golf Outing at GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills, N.Y., on May 19.
According to a news release provided by FITB, the event will bring together community members, sponsors and supporters for a day of golf in support of children facing food insecurity across the region.
The annual event plays a critical role in advancing FITB's mission to provide nutritious weekend meals to children who may otherwise go without, according to the nonprofit.

According to the release, the golf outing is nearly sold out, with just two foursomes left, and participants are encouraged not to miss their chance to be part of the action.
The event will also feature a silent auction open to the public launching Tuesday at noon, according to FITB.

Through its weekend meal program and school-based pantries, FITB currently supports more than 10,000 children each week across Fairfield, Westchester and Putnam Counties, the release notes.
In addition to its core programs, FITB operates its Fresh Food on the Move Mobile Pantry, which has distributed more than 1.4 million pounds of food to families in need, according to the release.
The organization recently expanded its reach with a fourth mobile pantry location in Danbury, complementing existing sites in Norwalk, Stamford and Bridgeport, according to the release.
