Norwalk Nurse Among Those Disciplined By State For Lapse In Care

The state Board of Examiners for Nursing recently handled down the penalties.

NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk nurse recently was disciplined by the state Board of Examiners for Nursing for what the board considered a lapse in care for a patient, one of several penalties handed down by the group, writes Connecticut Health I-Team.

Sashni C. Popp had her registered nurse license placed on probation for a year after the board determined that she did not properly care for a patient's wound and did not follow the protocols for wound treatment.

In all, the board recently disciplined nine nurses for lapses in care, drug abuse and improper paperwork, among over violations, according to the publication.
