Norwalk Nursing Home Fined For Incidents

NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk Nursing home was fined by the state Department of Public Heatlh after two incidents.

Autumn Lake Healthcare was fined nearly $2,000.

One resident broke a femur while using a bathroom and needed a hip replacement, according to the Connecticut Health Investigation Team. A nurse aide left to attend another resident.

In another incident a resident fell on two consecutive days while being transported via wheelchair.The nursing home didn't respond to requests from comment from C-HIT.
