Norwalk Officer Shot During Training: PD

The officer sustained a non-life threatening injury during training.

NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk Police officer was injured after an accidental discharge during training at police headquarters.

The officer was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, said Lt. Terrence Blake. The incident occurred Sept. 5 around 2:45 p.m.

"The incident is currently under investigation by the Norwalk Detective Bureau," Blake said. "At this time, the identity of the injured officer is being withheld however the officer is doing well."
