Norwalk P&Z To Hold Public Hearing On Manresa Island Application: Agenda

The city's Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to hold its regular meeting on Feb. 4, 2026; here's what's on the agenda.

NORWALK, CT — The Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing Wednesday night on a special permit and coastal site plan review application tied to proposed excavation and grading work on a portion of Manresa Island.

According to a meeting agenda available on the city's website, the public hearing concerns application #2025-94 SP/CSPR from Manresa Osprey, LLC, which is seeking approval for excavation or grading of more than 1,000 cubic yards of earth material and soil disturbance exceeding 10,000 square feet or more.

The request falls under Section 6.2.2.D of the city's zoning regulations. The item is listed as a public hearing with a report and recommended action, according to the agenda.

In addition to the hearing, commissioners are expected to discuss a number of proposed zoning regulation text amendments to articles 4, 6, 7 and 9, which includes public realm exemptions and fee-in-lieu, sign standards and revisions to multiple zoning definitions among other items, according to the agenda.

Residents may also provide public comment during the meeting or submit written comments by email in advance, provided they are received by noon on the day of the meeting, according to the agenda.
