Norwalk P&Z To Hold Public Hearings, Review Applications During Upcoming Meeting: Agenda

The Norwalk Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to meet on July 1, 2026. Here's what's on the agenda.

NORWALK, CT — The Norwalk Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to hold two public hearings and review a number of applications during its regular meeting scheduled for Wednesday.

According to an agenda available on the city's website, the meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m., which the public may access by telephone, Zoom or a recording on the city's YouTube channel.

One public hearing concerns an application from Shangri-La CT, LLC for a zoning regulation text amendment to Article 4 regarding the hours of operation for a cannabis dispensary facility, cannabis hybrid retailer and cannabis retailer, according to the agenda.

The second public hearing concerns an application from 595 Westport Ave LLC for a zoning regulation text amendment to Article 9 (definitions) to modify the definition of "medical office."

The first item is listed for a "report and recommended action," while the second item is listed for a "public hearing, report and recommended action," according to the agenda.

The commission also is scheduled to review several applications, including one from the city regarding the acquisition of a pedestrian right-of-way easement, according to the agenda.

Other applications scheduled for review involve properties on Newtown Avenue, Harbor View Avenue and East Avenue, according to the agenda.

Each item is listed for "report and recommended action," according to the agenda.

The agenda also includes acceptance of minutes from meetings held June 17, as well as comments of director and commissioners.
