Norwalk Police Charge Man with Murder of Woman in Wolfpit Ave. Home
Bertony Thompson, 44, is accused of killing Jackie Silverman, 62, in a bedroom of the home.

Bertony Thompson, 44, has been charged with the murder of 62-year-old Jackie Silverman, who police found asphyxiated Wednesday in a bedroom of a home at 41 Wolfpit Ave.
Norwalk police detectives obtained a warrant for Thompson’s arrest Friday morning and took him into custody shortly afterward. He is being held on a $1 million bond and is scheduled to appear Monday in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
On Tuesday, police forced their way into the home after they received a call that a 44-year-old man was threatening suicide and no one answered the door. They found Silverman asphyxiated on a bed in the bedroom and a man (apparently Thompson) unresponsive in the bedroom. The man was taken to Norwalk Hospital.
